The Washington Legislature operates on a \u201cBiennium\u201d (two year cycle) system \u2013 meaning that any bill proposed legislative session occuring in the first year of the biennium and that is not either voted down or approved will continue into the legislative session of the second year of the biennium. 2015 was the first year of the current session, so we get all of last years left-overs (good, bad and ugly) AND whatever new ideas our beloved legislators have managed to conjure up since June.<\/p>\n

At the time of this writing, no firearms-related legislation appears in the \u201cpre-filed bills\u201d section of the Legislative website. Those can be filed right up till the last day before the Legislative session begins, however. Below find the \u201cleft-over\u201d bills from the 2015 session that we will most likely be facing.<\/p>\n
